A night race in Formula 1 certainly makes for good entertainment, now add famous Las Vegas hotels and attractions in the background and you’ll have quite the spectacle on your hands. F1 cars flat out along the Vegas strip at approximately 212 MPH is something Sin City hasn’t seen before and hopefully will put the Caesar’s Palace Grand Prix days behind them.

Announced in March 2022, the race in Las Vegas is scheduled to be in November of 2023 and will be one of three races held in the USA. After the growing American fan base, many coming by way of Drive to Survive on Netflix, Formula 1 is pushing hard to give these new fans what they want – an epic racing experience in America’s adult playgrounds.

Formula 1 hasn’t raced in Las Vegas since 1984, the last year of the Caesars Palace Grand Prix which was felt more like a go kart track and has often been called the worst F1 track of all time. Vegas being the hottest new city to host professional sports bringing the NHL and the NFL, it’s going to be the race to attend in the 2023 season.

During the announcement, it was shared that this final design was one of 31 different recommendations. The track will feature 14 turns and is centered around the strip being a long straight-away section. More details to come.
